Trivium’s latest release is the EP “Struck Dead”, which dropped on the 31st October 2025 via Roadrunner Records.
“Struck Dead” features three-tracks that capture the band’s evolving sound yet still paying homage to their older roots giving a nod to the ‘good ol’ days’ of “Ascendancy” and echoing Trivium’s early 2000s thrash-esque style.
Prior to this EP release Trivium premiered the single “Bury Me With My Screams” live at Bloodstock Open Air Festival earlier in the year with the track being released on August 7th, 2025.
This single marked Trivium’s return after a four-year gap, following their 2021 album “In the Court of the Dragon” which received a highly positive reception from fans.
I will say one thing, I do believe this EP has been a banger and a solid addition to their discography. Although it's not got much to it (let's face it, it's "only an EP") - it's mighty in stature. I can't fault any of the tracks on this EP and believe that it's very dark, deep and a clear shadow of things yet to unfold. It leaves me excited and actually looking forward in anticipation to what is possibly on the horizon. I know as the title says this is a HALLOWEEN release and you may be sat thinking "oh, but it's now the 2nd November!". This is correct, I've had a busy weekend, okay? No judging please. Better late than never and was honestly; worth the delay and getting round to giving this a "proper good listen".
With Trivium rumored to have an album release in the pipe line for 2026/2027, although they have not confirmed this they have indicated very suggestively that their next full-length record is expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027.
The rollout of the video for the single, "Struck Dead" was launched alongside the EP on the 31st October 2025. This can be viewed on the official Trivium youtube. In addition to this, it also marks the first official release featuring new drummer Alex Rüdinger, following Alex Bent’s departure earlier in the month
