Manchester sludge death hardcore band 1986 have released a new music video to support the release of the track “Equus Gallows”.

Ash Fenlon, Vocalist from 1986 caught in with Get Heavy UK describing the new track to be:

Factually this is the 1986 that has been bubbling behind the scenes from day one, we needed the right pieces to create the album we’re so very close to releasing. It’s aggressive, it’s high voltage, it starts and finishes with chaos and the in between tells a story”.

After giving the new video a watch and really giving the track a couple of listens, I do have to say that I agree - this track brings energy and aggression whilst still remaining close to the coarse, earthy yet stripped-back distorted sound which fits the genre well.

From start to finish this music video is a visually haunting hallucination that brings no comfort, no resolution—just a slow descent into something beautifully tragic all whilst remaining in the confides of a simple setting. The videos leaves a sort of  sense of unease that sticks long after watching. You don’t watch it once and move on. It stays with you, almost like the first time you watch "The Ring" and think "Aiggght!! Alright Samara girrrrrl calm down".
