Absolutely thrilled to have early access to Gama Bomb's "Bats" album, dropping on November 10th via Prosthetic Records.

"Bats" is yet another epic masterpiece from Irish legends Gama Bomb, delivering 11 tracks of unadulterated metal mayhem. This album is a headbanger's dream, featuring relentless shredding, mind-blowing guitar solos, powerhouse vocals, and a surprise addition of a sultry saxophone – a unique twist in the metal scene. On my first listen, tracks like "Living Dead in Beverly Hills," "Speed Funeral," "Don't Get Your Hair Cut," and "Bats in Your Hair" immediately stood out.

Remaining steadfast to their thrash metal origins, Gama Bomb's signature sound, honed over two decades of unyielding headbanging, is still very much intact. This album also brings exciting new elements to the forefront. It features impressive guest appearances, such as Irish musician Gavin Kerins showcasing his saxophone prowess on "Bats in Your Hair" and hip-hop sensation The Egyptian Lover lending his rap skills to "Egyptron."

The album's theme, inspired by 60s/70s horror and spanning from the tombs of Egypt to the faded glamour of old Hollywood, adds an intriguing dimension. The artwork, crafted by the legendary Graham Humphreys – known for iconic movie posters such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead, and What We Do In The Shadows – enhances the album's overall aesthetic. This marks Humphreys' fourth collaboration with Gama Bomb.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the music video above titled "Speed Funeral," featuring the return of the adorable metal mascot, Gamabombinable Snowman, affectionately known as "Snowy." "Bats" promises to redefine the thrash metal rule book, and Gama Bomb is poised to unleash their sonic onslaught on the world.

I wholeheartedly recommend giving this album a listen, whether you're a die-hard metalhead or a newcomer to the genre. Crank up the volume, bang your head, and let Gama Bomb's "Bats" take you on a wild ride of pure thrash awesomeness.

In summary, "Bats" is a phenomenal addition to Gama Bomb's discography, delivering the thrash-metal excellence that fans have come to expect from these Irish legends. The incorporation of the saxophone is a brilliant touch, and the contributions of Gavin Kerins and The Egyptian Lover on certain tracks elevate the album to another level. The horror theme and Graham Humphreys' artwork create a compelling atmosphere. If you have an appetite for thrash metal, "Bats" is a must-listen.
