The Dread Legion: Thrashing riffs, face-melting solos, and a vocalist possessed

Manchester's Ghostkeeper is back to haunt the thrash metal scene with "The Dread Legion", their second album that's about to blow your mind (and your ears) to smithereens!

As a newbie to the band (thanks to UK Thrashers for the sneak peek!), I'm now a die-hard fan, and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm obsessed with their music. This album is like a shot of adrenaline straight to the heart - it's an intense, non-stop ride that'll leave you breathless and begging for more.

Vocals channels the spirit of Chuck Billy from Testament, spitting venom with every snarled lyric like a demon possessed. And the riffs? Oh, the riffs! Crunchy, face-melting, and downright evil. You'll be headbanging so hard you'll forget your own name (just kidding, you'll still remember it... probably).

The nine-track album is a masterclass in thrash metal mayhem, with tracks like "Reject! (Non-Essential Bullshit)" and "Acid Infected Grin" that'll get you moshing like a madman. And then there's "Dead World, Cold Earth", which injects a touch of epic atmosphere and makes you want to raise your horns in triumph.

But the real standout track is "Sociocide", a personal favorite for myself, its pummeling intensity and catchy chorus. Even the title track, "The Dread Legion", manages to avoid feeling generic, establishing its own identity within the album's cohesive sound.

Whether you're a seasoned thrash veteran or a newcomer to the genre, "The Dread Legion" is a must-listen. It's a reminder that raw energy and killer riffs are all you need to create a truly headbanging experience. So grab your copy, crank it up to eleven, and join the dread legion!

Verdict: Essential. Crank it up to eleven!
