The O2 City Hall in Newcastle was electrified as Don Broco took the stage, greeted by an anticipating audience. Whilst our reviews are primarily focused on heavy metal, we found Don Broco's unique blend of styles interesting. While not a traditional metal band, they brought an undeniable heaviness to certain songs that resonated with the crowd, complete with crowd surfers and a lively circle pit.

Frontman Rob Damiani, sporting a neck brace, was a great show of perseverance and spirit. His impromptu 'dad dancing' moves, tailored to his temporary limitation, were more than just entertainment, they showed a deep connection with the audience, who responded with appreciation of his willingness to make sure the show went on.

The setlist was a vibrant mix of Don Broco's hits, old and new, resonating with everyone in the room. It didn't matter where you were standing; the collective voice of the crowd knew every word to every song, creating an amazing atmosphere.

Coming out all guns blazing with “Gumshield” and “Manchester Super Reds No.1 Fan”, the tone was set for the night. Highlights like "Revenge Body" and "Endorphins" electrified the audience, drawing everyone in. The concert reached its peak with "Birthday Party" and "Everybody," leaving the crowd roused.

The encore, featuring "Fingernails" and the anthemic "T-Shirt Song," was a spectacular finale. As the first chords of "T-Shirt Song" rang out, the room transformed into a sea of swirling t-shirts, everyone twirling them above their heads in unison.

Rob's performance, despite his physical constraints, was a testament to the power and passion of live music. The band's ability to blend various musical styles, infusing heavy elements into their distinctive sound, made the night unforgettable.

In summary, Don Broco's concert at O2 City Hall was more than just a live show; it was a celebration of music's diverse and unifying power. It was a night where music transcended genres, bringing together fans from different musical backgrounds in a shared, unforgettable experience.
